ペンシルベニア州ピッツバーグ、2021年5月17日 ― エンジニアリングシミュレーションソフトウェアの世界的リーダーであり常に革新をもたらしているAnsys (NASDAQ: ANSS)は、本日モデルベースエンジニアリング(MBE)およびモデルベースシステムズエンジニアリング(MBSE)を可能とするソフトウェアのリーディングプロバイダーであるPhoenix Integration社を買収したことを発表しました。この買収によりAnsysソリューションの適用可能範囲が拡大し、ユーザーは広範囲のロバストなモデルベースエンジニアリングを行うマルチツールワークフロー内に種々のエンジニアリングツールを組み込むことができるようになります。買収条件は公表されていません。この買収による2021年のAnsysの連結決算への重大な影響はありません。
エンジニアや設計者は製品開発プロセスにおいて種々の異なるソフトウェアツールを使用しています。これらのツールを連結して使用することは少なく、高度なマニュアルでのエンジニアリングが求められその度にプロセスを変えなければならず、eメールやスプレッドシートを用いることが多く、トレーサビリティが失われています。MBEを用いるとこれらのプロセスの自動化が可能で、複雑さが解消されます。MBSEでは、1つのシステムモデルを唯一の情報源として、製品ライフサイクル全体にわたるシステム設計の進化を記述することにより、要件のトレーサビリティを確保します。
